I grew up in a house designed and built by my father, a well-respected real estate developer in Little Rock, Arkansas. His specialty was custom built, single-family homes but he also constructed apartment complexes, townhomes, and the first condominium development in the city. Growing up in the ecosystem of residential real estate—clients, architectural and interior designers, contractors and laborers, lumber yards and construction sites—all helped shape my worldview.
In 1996, I moved to Winston-Salem to work at John F. Blair, Publisher, and have lived in North and South Carolina ever since. My husband Andrew, a conservationist and author, and I have one son, Elias, who is a student at UNC. Molly, our black Lab mix, and Romeo, our gray Tabby cat, round out our little family.
In addition to brokering real estate, I enjoy practicing and teaching yoga and Otago, making pottery, cooking, gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
From Athens, Greece, to Spartanburg, South Carolina, I have called many places home, including a repurposed 18th century barn in Tuscany, a 19th century palazzo on the Bay of Naples, the 1893 historic Mary Steele Scales House in Salisbury, and a 1981 home by celebrated Modernist Jon Conderet in Fearrington Village’s historic district. Having bought and sold a cornucopia of very old and not-so-new houses, in addition to being raised on construction sites, I have learned some things along the way. It would be my privilege to put my experience to work for you, whether you are searching for your first home or selling a long-cherished one.
A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built of love and dreams.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
